After five years our belief that there would be an explosion of demand for vegan and sustainable clothing has been realized. We are one of the few that have continuously provided vegan and sustainable fashion clothing maintaining our ethos of a new type of supply chain that supports our social mission. When we founded Dauntless, sustainable and vegan fashion was not understood or was marginalized.
A conscious consumer has no access to honest information and there was no supply chain that could support a conscious brand. The perception was that vegan clothing was neither stylish nor of good quality. This was compounded by the lack of transparency in the origin of the materials and a concern that these materials did not meet the requirements of sustainability because they were harmful to the environment and made in unfair working conditions.
WOMEN LED.
WOMEN RUN.
A woman and an entrepreneur setting industry standards.
As the founder of Dauntless, I was motivated as a woman to be an entrepreneur, a female entrepreneur. In 2016, I saw that the system did not support women entrepreneurs and supposedly had arguments that there is much greater equality than is seen in practice, between women and men in business. For this reason, Dauntless employs only women, mothers heads of households to provide opportunities for them and reduce the gender gap in order to build an equitable future. (We seek to infuse the mindset of impact and scalability in other women so that they are encouraged to start working , possibly create their own businesses and make things happen, even in traditionally male-led industries).
By employing women we are able to provide a stable income, a pension and provide healthcare to their households. Also, we have been able to encourage them to have a bigger and better future, in the sense that they can grow into new and higher job positions hence having a greater personal growth. We are able to help them get mortgages on new homes and education for their children. Dauntless is women led and women run.

Materials & Sustainable Ideals
Sustainability
We enforce reduction of paper waste in pattern making as well as in our cutting process of our fabrics. We only produce upon demand and do not carry large amounts of inventory that could potentially end up in waste. We always try to find the best materials that are durable and certified sustainable. We continue to look out for innovative materials to reduce our use of polyester in our fabrics.
We love to be transparent about the materials we use on our garments. As a vegan brand we don’t use leather EVER or any other material that derives from an animal. That is why we are PETA certified vegan. We continuously push our boundaries to be able to create beautiful products that are not harmful to our environment. For our vegan leather materials we use water-borne and solvent-free polyurethanes, using less energy and water and no solvents to create these fabrics. We are aware that the synthetic substitutes we use may have some environmental issues. However, according to EP &L standards and regulations, the majority of the impact associated with synthetic fibers is due to processing oil into yarn. We are researching and working on more alternative ways to diminish the effect of these substitute materials.
We are working to reduce the environmental impacts of our metal consumption by looking into low-impact, recycled or recyclable metals for our buttons and zippers. We use no lead, nickel or zinc in our zippers and buttons. Only nickel-free aluminium.
Our Family Team
We are an all women team and family that want to make a positive impact and change the world.
PIONEERS OF VEGAN AND SUSTAINABLE FASHION
We work hard to create a synergy with our customers and community.
The team is made up solely of women who share the same purpose of generating a positive impact on the environment and consumerism. The garment makers are heads of household mothers who also share Dauntless’ DNA.
Our objective as a business and fashion brand is to create a sustainable synergy with its consumer and join forces in changing consumer habits to take care of the planet.
